The “Surviving R. Kelly” Documentary has caused an internet uproar for a couple of weeks now. The documentary showcased many unspoken stories and insight into scandals surrounding the R&B singer’s past and present in dealing with women.

According to TMZ RCA Records (Sony Music), has announced they will no longer produce or release any of the singer’s new music nor put any money towards anything involving R. Kelly’s projects until the investigations taking place in both Georgia and Chicago have concluded.

Reports went out just last week that the artist’s stream volume has significantly increased prior to the documentary airing. R. Kelly has 2 albums left on his contract with RCA and it will be interesting to see if he’s able to fulfill his end of the bargain considering what’s going on. According to sources at TMZ, if the label makes an attempt to drop him without any formal charges justified – they are liable to be sued. It seems to be a tricky situation here.

Many artists have also come forward to apologize for turning a blind eye to the artist’s mishaps and speak out about it. Nick Cannon, Omarion, Common, Chance the Rapper and Lady Gaga took to the internet to voice opinions in speaking up for the industry in their support of the community against R. Kelly.
