Convicted of armed robbery in 2008, the football legend and actor, O.J. Simpson was granted parole in Nevada on Thursday. OJ convinced the board after a quick deliberation that he was “a good guy” reassuring them he would be no threat to anyone outside of prison.

Oldest daughter of OJ, Arnelle Simpson, testified on his behalf stating, “I know that he is remorseful. He truly is remorseful.” she said. “We just want him to come home.”

Mr. Simpson is hoping to return to Florida sometime in October. If he violates the conditions of his parole — which are likely to bar him from having weapons or associating with criminals — he could return to prison to serve out his full sentence.
