MAC pays tribute to Aaliyah 16 years after her death with a new collection

16 years ago today we gained an angel, Aaliyah. Known for her beautiful voice and charisma, Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash on August 25, 2001.

The MAC Cosmetics line announced today they have answered a long-overdue petition for a collection in her name.

Aaliyah is truly one in a million — an unstoppable icon whose groundbreaking work in R&B music and film inspires us all. No further details have been released on the collection but we have her music that will continue to influence music forever.
